Legacy Place 9th Annual Fork & Cork event exceeded expectations with over 600 people attending the Thursday night event, raising over $10,000 for a local charity. Guests were tantalized with tastings from Palm Beach’s best restaurants while they sipped wines from around the world and enjoyed beach music under the stars at Legacy Place on April 6th, 2017.
More than 40 specialty vendors provided generous portions of food and wine samplings including Legacy Place Merchants Capital Grille, Total Wine & More, Publix GreenWise, and Arhaus.
The event included cooking and wine pairing demos sponsored by Capital Grille and Total Wine. The demos featured chefs included Stephen Asprinio from Bravo’s Top Chef and Jeremy Hanlon, who has competed on Chopped and Beat Bobby Flay. Nina Tomasik from Nina’s Bakery gave cake decorating instructions. The audience also enjoyed lively commentary from foodie enthusiasts and local celebrities, Stephanie Berzinski from WPBF, and Virginia Sinicki from the WRMF’s The KVJ Show.
“This event gets better year after year,” said Wendy Hernandez, Property Manager for Stiles Property Management. “We were thrilled to have chefs join us for the demos that have competed on national television shows. The wines were also outstanding this year. Next year, will be our tenth year and we set the stage for it.”
New additions to the event included a book signing by Olimpia Zucarelli, author of A Chair at My Table and a musical tribute to Jimmy Buffett by Jimmy Stowe & the Stowaways. Woodhouse Spa, a Legacy Place merchant, also provided massages and mini-facelifts.
This event marks the second year that Legacy Place partnered with Little Smiles of Florida. More than $10,600 was raised from pre-event ticket sales alone from this year’s event. Little Smiles is a local charity that helps kids and families in local hospitals, hospices, shelters and other like facilities.
Other Legacy Place merchants that participated were Arhaus Furniture, Oceans Allure, Pure Barre, Weight Watchers, HSBC Bank, and Keyes Realty. Other area food vendors included Benny’s on the Beach, Zucarelli’s, and Brio Tuscan Grille.
Legacy Place is managed by Stiles Property Management, the largest privately held commercial management provider in South Florida.
