Legacy Place puts another successful food and wine event on the scoreboard with its 8th Annual Fork & Cork event on April 7th, 2016. Over 500 people attended the mid-week event that raised thousands of dollars for a local charity.
It was a beautiful evening under the stars with sipping, tasting, and music taking center stage. More than 40 specialty vendors provided generous portions of food and wine samplings including Legacy Place merchants Capital Grille, Total Wine & Spirits, Publix GreenWise, Cool’a FishBar, Five Guys Famous Burgers, Moe’s Southwest Grill, and Gelato Grotto.
The event included cooking demo and wine presentation pavilions; and, featured chefs included Stephen Asprinio from Bravo’s Top Chef Season One, Brian Goode from Capital Grille, Whitney Burbank from WPBF, and Virginia Sinicki and Jason Pennington from the WRMF’s The KVJ Show.
“The Legacy Place Fork & Cork is an annual signature event that has enjoyed a tradition of success over the years,” said Wendy Hernandez, Property Manager for Stiles Property Management. “This event has seen changes over the last few years. We were excited to elevate the experience this year with the addition of the cooking and wine demos. We already have big ideas to make the event better next year.”
Hernandez also expressed satisfaction in knowing how this event gives back to the community through supporting charity. Just over $12,000 was raised for Little Smiles of Florida, a volunteer driven, non-profit 501(c)3 children’s charity with a mission to help kids in local hospitals, hospices, shelters and other like facilities. Through direct interaction, Little Smiles responds locally and with the guidance of professionals such as doctors, nurses, child life specialists and social workers to help kids escape unfortunate circumstances that are medically related, even if only for a short period of time.
Other Legacy Place merchants that participated were Arhaus Furniture, Oceans Allure, SALONZ, Weight Watchers, HSBC Bank, and Keyes Realty. Other area food vendors included Anthony’s Coal Fire Grill, Baldino’s, and Sandy James Catering.
Legacy Place is managed by Stiles Property Management, the largest privately held commercial management provider in South Florida. Stiles Property Management has grown its portfolio by more than ten percent in the last year to 17 million square feet of commercial properties. The company has been managing Legacy Place since 2015.
